A curriculum to become a Software Engineering expert

Our degree is built on project-based training, where learning is active, collaborative and entirely hands-on. From day one you work like a real developer: you code, lead, solve problems and learn to make decisions.

  1. Year 1 {Bachelor}

    Fundamentals and the Piscine

    You start with the Piscine: five intensive weeks of programming where you learn by solving individual and group projects. For the rest of the year you keep learning through projects, supported by your peers (peer-to-peer learning).

    • 5-week Piscine
    • Individual and team projects
    • Peer-to-peer learning
  2. Year 2 {Bachelor}

    First internship and C++ Piscine

    The year starts with your first paid internship at a company, lasting 4 to 6 months. Then comes the C++ Piscine, with projects focused on video game development.

    • 4 to 6-month internship
    • C++ Piscine
    • Video game projects
  3. Year 3 {Bachelor}

    Bachelor’s and the start of the EIP

    A second internship (4 to 6 months) and part-time work two days a week. The EIP (Epitech Innovative Project) begins: the team capstone project you will develop over three years. At the end you earn the Bachelor’s in Software Engineering (180 ECTS).

    • 4 to 6-month internship
    • EIP kick-off
    • Bachelor’s · 180 ECTS
  4. Year 4 {Master}

    International year

    You spend a year at a partner university abroad and choose specialisation courses, such as artificial intelligence or data science, while you develop and industrialise your EIP project.

    • EIP: development
  5. Year 5 {Master}

    Specialisation and final project

    The final Master’s year: part-time work two days a week and the culmination of the EIP, which you present to a jury of professionals at Warm Up Day. You graduate with a Master’s-level degree (EQF 7, 300 ECTS in total).
